INTRO TO GAK9-IDAHO :

Our program is dedicated to the tracker team and we don’t do it part-time or on request; we live and breathe it.  GAK9-Idaho produces and delivers proven man-hunters and our clients are our best advertisement.  We are the “Go To” source for specialized combat tracking/trailing for our military as well as tactical support operations for Law Enforcement SWAT.

Concept:

The Tactical Tracker Team Program has been in existence since 1999.  This program began after numerous high-risk K9 Tracking/ Trailing operations in various parts of the United States. Recognizing that there are inherent risks and advantages to a good trailing K9 in these scenarios, TTT and GAK9 developed a concept that works effectively to minimize operator risk.  The tactical team uses formations to work with and support the K9 handler who has the K9 on a 20′-30′ line.  The trained K9 is given the scent of the “prey or suspect” and allowed to work within the tactical formations.  The trained handler and K9 work the scent trail with the tactical team’s support to maximize the possibility of safely locating and capturing the suspect(s).

Objective:

GAK-Idaho provides professional K9 training in all the areas of Trailing, tracking, and Multi-Purpose Canine Combat/ Tactical tracking to qualified organizations both on-sight or off-site.

Goal:

Produce technical and tactically proficient K9 handlers and teams in the area of trailing and tracking.

Solution:

Provide classroom lectures with PowerPoint training, hands-on training in the form of fieldwork with trailing/ tracking K9s, video review, and final certification.
